Programmed activities for 2010.

Posti di vista '10

Thanks to the new partnership between FDVLAB, the association that group together all the Fabbrica del Vapore’s laboratories, and the magazine OTTAGONO, the event Posti di Vista 2010 this year will be even more interesting and richer. After its ever increasing attention of the past editions which reached over 10,000 visitors, FDVLAB wants to promote for the exhibition Posti di Vista an agreement with one of the most important magazines of architecture and industrial design: OTTAGONO. This partnership involves a growth strategy for both a deeper cultural and research insight of the initiative, and for the communication aspects in relation to the complex and variegated context of the Fuorisalone. I tune with a choice of cultural view aimed to define design and architecture related activities developed within the Fabbrica del Vapore through a social responsibility approach, also for this year, it will be re-proposed the sustainability theme in exhibitions and events. Particularly, many projects will have their focus on public spaces and urban green areas.

Practical task of architecture and psichology of communication

 

The collaboration between Laboratorio Dagad and the department of psychology of communication of the Università Cattolica of Milan continues. During this two meetings students of psychology  are asked to reflect about public spaces (squares), private spaces (houses) and design (objects).

 

Women on construction sites

 

This project proposes to analyse women’s conditions on construction sites. With the patronage of Milan’s municipality, a public round table will start on March 8th 2010 at the Fabbrica del Vapore. This event even sets the initial phase of a standing observatory on this topic that Laboratorio Dagad will lead through the next few years with the aim to start several initiatives in order to analyse and monitor the situation. Thanks to partnerships with organisations in this field that will be involved, data and opinions will be collected. The analysis of women’s conditions in other countries will complete the observatory’s work.
